Kenyan musician turned reality TV star, Kevin Bahati, has officially announced the premiere of his upcoming reality TV show, “The Bahati Empire,” set to debut on Netflix.
The show, which focuses on Bahati and his family, will premiere on Friday, June 7, 2024.
The EMB President shared a trailer for the reality show, which features appearances by The Murayas, Karen Nyamu, Jalang’o, and Rev Lucy Natasha, among others. This announcement followed 24 hours of clout-chasing, with Bahati posting a series of cryptic messages that left fans speculating about what was to come.
In his announcement, Bahati boasted about being the first Kenyan family to have a reality TV show on Netflix. “We were the first Kenyan family to have a reality show on national TV (‘Being Bahati’ on NTV), and now we make history as the first Kenyan family to have a reality show on Netflix. All glory goes to our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Bahati continued, “It’s official! The first Kenyan/East African reality show on Netflix is #TheBahatisEmpire, which premieres on Friday, June 7, 2024. Oh yes; I know you all have missed us on TV.”
He added, “The King & Queen of reality are back, and it’s time for us to address all your rumors as we share with the world our dirty, clean, sad, and happy moments! This is unscripted… this is the best reality Kenya has seen… just trust me! See y’all on Netflix this Friday.”
