Police in Nairobi are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old woman, which occurred on Thursday morning in a City lodging.
According to a police report, the woman died after developing a severe cough while in a guest room that she had booked herself into with her brother-in-law.
The woman who is a resident of Mwiki, Kasarani, and her 45-year-old brother-in-law, checked into Graceland Hotel on Dubois Road in Nairobi CBD on Wednesday 7:30pm. The two spent the night together.
The man had travelled to the capital city from Malindi, Kilifi County on Wednesday.
“At around 6am (Thursday, September 24), she developed health complications, and started coughing and vomiting. The brother-in-law hailed a taxi, which took her to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where she was pronounced dead on arrival,” says an 8:13pm police report filed at the KNH police post under OB Number 97/24/9/2020.
Her body was moved to the KNH mortuary awaiting postmortem.
