In Kitui County, a 47-year-old man from Mung’ang’a, Miambani, lost his life on Sunday while undergoing treatment for machete wounds sustained during a suspected land dispute.
The victim had been rushed to Kitui Level 4 Hospital by family members after the attack.
According to Chief Muthoka Kilonzo, the man called for help, but by the time his family arrived, the perpetrators had already fled the scene. Authorities have arrested three suspects as they launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault.
Chief Kilonzo appealed to the community for any information that could aid the investigation.
