Beyond his spiritual duties, controversial preacher Pastor Ng’ang’a wears another hat—that of a businessman. Operating a hotel business during weekdays.
In a candid revelation, Ng’ang’a attributes the downturn in his business to the absence of certain products on his shelves. Expressing frustration, he points to his decision not to stock condoms, alcohol, and drugs as contributing factors to the decline in customer traffic.
“Niko na hoteli yangu. Lakini haifanyi vizuri kwa sababu siuzangi bangi na condom na pombe.” Ng’ang’a confessed.
Moreover, Ng’ang’a believes that the reluctance of Christians to frequent hotels, coupled with their preference for alternative accommodations, further dampens his business prospects.
“Christians do not sleep at hotels. Wakistro ata wakienda wanalala kwa madungu zao.” Pastor Ng’ang’a said.
Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, Ng’ang’a acknowledges the discrepancy between his role as a pastor and a hotel proprietor, pondering whether he made the right investment choice.
“Kama wewe ni pastor usije ukajenga hoteli, jenga nyumba za kukodisha watu walale huko.” He went on.
Ng’ang’a opens up about his willingness to heed divine guidance, expressing a longing for clarity on whether to divest from the hotel business altogether.
“Ata natamani mungu aniambie niiuze ama nipeane ifanywe hospitali.” Ng’ang’a said.
Despite the challenges in his business venture, Pastor Ng’ang’a remains a prominent figure in the country, known not only for his engaging sermons but also for his candid reflections on life’s trials and tribulations.
