Shiksha Arora has made headlines once more, announcing her move to TV47 just days after parting ways with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
Arora’s departure from KBC, effective Friday, July 19, marked the end of a significant chapter in her career, having spent three years at the station.
In a heartfelt message shared on her social media, Arora expressed her gratitude and bittersweet emotions about leaving KBC. “My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It’s hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years and colleagues who have become like family,” she wrote.
In an advert released online by TV47, Shiksha is introduced as the ‘new girl in town’. Her energetic and approachable style quickly endeared her to viewers, solidifying her status as one of Kenya’s most beloved media personalities.
Before her time at KBC, Arora was a fixture on K24, where she spent three years starting in 2018. Her career in media began with roles at Media Max and Radio Africa, demonstrating her versatility across different platforms.
Her international experience includes stints with the BBC and Smoke FM in the U.K., adding a global dimension to her impressive portfolio.
Arora holds a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster in London and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Biotechnology.
