A man was killed by her lover’s teenage sons after he insisted on sleeping in their mother’s house in Kiritiri, Embu County on Sunday night.
Kiambere Location chief Solomon Mbugi said the body of Peter Mwangi Njeru was found lying dead at Itherembu village.
It was later established that the deceased, aged 45, had gone to visit his lover Euphraith Wangare, 50 who is a single mother on Sunday at around 9.30pm.
On arrival, he disagreed with the woman’s sons who insisted that the man should not sleep there since he was not their father.
“The deceased refused to leave and a fight ensued. He was attacked by the boys using firewood that was next to the house,” police said.
On Monday morning, he was found lying dead within the homestead with several cut wounds on the head and bruises on the body.
One of his lover’s sons was later arrested as police launched investigations and manhunt for his brother.
Elsewhere, a man killed his estranged wife and injured her brother in Mbooni, Makueni County on Monday night.

Muthwani Assistant Chief Peter Kasangi said the suspect went to his in-law’s residence at around 7pm where he found the woman, aged 30, and her brother.
He then attacked the brother-in-law with a machete, leaving him with serious head injuries before killing his ex-wife with the same panga.
He however managed to escape before neighbours responded.
