Homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have initiated a probe into the unexpected demise of actor Charles Ouda.
Ouda tragically took his own life on the night of February 3, following his attendance at a wrap-up party for the well-known Maisha Magic series, Salem, in which he played a prominent role.
Although the family has not yet disclosed the cause of his death, reliable sources have informed us that he used a belt to take his own life on the balcony of his apartment in Westlands, Nairobi.
This occurred after he excused himself to step outside for a smoke. A team from the DCI headquarters visited the scene on Monday as part of the ongoing investigation, with security sources indicating that the investigators have interviewed individuals who discovered the actor’s body.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
“They want to know what happened,” mentioned an officer familiar with the incident.
Charles Ouda, acclaimed for his performances in popular shows such as Makutano Junction, Junction Junior, Second Family, and Salem, appeared to be in good spirits on the last day he was seen alive. There is no indication that he was suffering from any known ailments, according to acquaintances.
