A 28-year-old man who was wanted for causing grievous harm to a woman in December 2018 has been arrested in Homa Bay County.
Victor Odhiambo Omanya who assaulted a woman by completely gouging out her eye was arrested today (Wednesday, September 9) in Kochia Sub-location.
This is the second time Omanya is been arrested for the offense of grievous harm contrary to section 234 of the Penal Code. He was arrested in May, 2019 in Kayole, arraigned and released.
He has been on the run since then.
“The matter was brought to the attention of the Director Mr George Kinoti by the complainant (who spoke with a lot of emotion) while he joined other guests to launch a Social Justice Center in Kisauni. The suspect remains in custody pending further inquiries,” The DCI recounts events of May 2019.
