Isiah Maweu Lucas has been handed a life imprisonment sentence by Kithimani Law Courts for the despicable act of defiling two minors. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) released a statement detailing the incident, stating that the crime took place in Athi River.
According to reports presented to Principal Magistrate Khapoya, the middle-aged man lured the young victims by promising to provide them with fish from the River Athi. However, the situation took a horrific turn when the victims were discovered unclothed in a densely vegetated area by their grandmother and a neighbor.
“Kithimani Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate Hon Khapoya today sentenced a middle-aged man to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling two minors contrary to section 8(1)(2) of the Sexual Offences Act.
“The court heard that Isiah Maweu Lucas lured the minors with the promise of giving them fish from River Athi, the two minors fell for his tricks and were later found naked in a thicket by the grandmother and neighbour of the minors,” the statement by ODPP stated.
The ODPP emphasized that the prosecutor presented compelling evidence, including testimony from six witnesses, proving beyond reasonable doubt that Isiah Maweu committed the sexual offense. This act is in clear violation of section 8(1)(2) of the Sexual Offences Act.
