Legendary Kenyan rapper Prezzo has spoken out following his fainting incident on the red carpet during the launch of Bahati’s new reality TV show, The Bahati’s Empire.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, Prezzo reassured his fans about his well-being despite the scare. “Contrary to the news going around on social media about my health and red carpet incident last night, I’d like to let everyone know that I am well and kumbukeni sio rahisi kuwa Rais (Remember, it’s not easy being a President),” he explained, attributing the fainting spell to overworking himself and subsequent fatigue.
Prezzo expressed gratitude to those who reached out with concern and support. He mentioned that he is taking some time off to relax and spend with his family.
Additionally, he congratulated Bahati on the successful launch of The Bahati’s Empire on Netflix. “Congrats to Bahati Empire for the good job. Last but not least, a big thank you to his Excellency Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for the accolades and for supporting an industry that we created with blood, sweat, and tears,” he stated.
Prezzo extended his love and appreciation to his fans, affirming his commitment to the music industry. “The future is bright for the industry as a whole. Blessed weekend and kama kawa…Nawapenda Wo!” the legendary musician said.
On June 6, during an interview at the event, Prezzo fainted and was quickly assisted by those nearby. After taking some rest, he later rejoined other celebrities at the launch, demonstrating his dedication and resilience.
