The premium online-driven smartphone brand, Infinix, has once again outdone themselves with an excellent all-round smartphone model that is targeted at the mid-to-high end market segment.
The new Note 8’s high performance will make it one to watch and for others to envy.
The brand’s new flagship model comes with a high-performance MediaTek Helio G80 processor, the biggest dual front camera screen, 64M Ultra HD 6 cameras and a fast charging, massive 5200mAh battery with super long endurance among others, making it an ultra-sleek, ultra-fast and ultra-long-lasting phone.
The Note 8 was launched on Wednesday October 21, at an online global conference live on the Infinix Mobile YouTube channel and also NTV and KTN Home.
Among those present for the launch was one of the best technology reviewer – Marques Brownlee, better known as MKBHD. MKBHD is an American YouTuber and professional ultimate frisbee player, best known for his technology-focused videos and podcast.
He also unboxed and reviewed the new phone during the launch.
Kenya’s hiphop sensation Octopizzo was also part of the launch as the Chief Experience Officer for the Infinix Note 8 and shared his four week long experience with the device.
Others present were representatives from Infinix, MediaTek and Vidhance who explained the unique and enhanced features of the new Note 8, as well as answered questions from viewers.
Both the phones Note 8 and Note 8i offer a glossy gradient design at the back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and quad-cameras. Key highlights include MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, 5,200mAh battery, and HD+ display.
To address heat issues while charging your phones, the new Note has dual engines technology. This keeps the Note 8 cool, reducing the heat by 8 degrees while charging.
Infinix Note 8 flaunts a 6.95-inch HD+ display with a pill-shaped punch-hole design to accommodate selfie cameras, 1,640 x 720 pixels resolution, and 480nits brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with Mali-G52 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card slot. Infinix Note 8 boots Android 10 with XOS 7.1 custom skin on top.
Moving to the optics, the Infinix Note 8 has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and an AI lens. It has a 16MP primary sensor and a portrait lens.
To complete the users’ audio visual experience, the Note 8 comes with dual speakers surround sound including with DTS and 4 modes that deliver immersive musical experiences for your ears and soul. Allowing users to level up the sound effect to better enjoy the audio experiences while watching their favorite movies or listening to music or gaming
There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
