Smartphone manufacturer OPPO on Monday introduced two new gadgets to its high-end Reno Series in the Kenyan market with the launch of the OPPO Reno 5 and the OPPO Reno 5F.
The launch was graced with OPPO brand ambassadors including Avril Nyambura, MC Jessy, Kamene Ngoro, Jalang’o, Martin Githinji, Maureen Waititu, and Pascal Tokodi.
OPPO Reno5 features a couple of upgrades over its sibling, the OPPO Reno4 that launched late last year.
OPPO Reno5 comes with a 6.43″ AMOLED display with 90HZ refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the 44MP selfie camera.
The screen features Full HD+ display at a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9(409 ppi) and an 85.6% screen to body ratio.
The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
OPPO Reno5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and Adreno 618 GPU and runs on Android 11 and ColorOS 11.1.
Additional, the Reno5, which will be available in two colours, Fantasy Silver and Starry Black, comes with 50W Flash Charge technology – giving the fastest charging time in the market, a 90Hz AMOLED Screen, and a sleek, light design.
Reno5 is available on pre-order exclusively on e-commerce sites Jumia, Kilimall and Masoko on February 22, 2021 and at all OPPO brand stores from February 23, 2021 till March 1, 2021.
OPPO Reno5 will start selling from Sh41,999 while the Reno 5F will begin selling from Sh31,999.
Customers who place a pre-order via the e-commerce platforms will additionally receive a pair of free Enco W11 wireless earphones, an OPPO backpack and a bluetooth speaker, while those who pre-order from the retail stores will receive a pair of the Enco W11 wireless earphones, an OPPO backpack and a six months screen protection plan.
The Reno5 F features a 48MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP mono camera.
The front camera on the other hand is 32MP.The device also comes with the AI Color Portrait Video and Monochrome Video features.The Reno5 which will be available in three colours – Fluid Black, Fantastic Purple and Crystal Silver, also comes with a 4310mAh battery and 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology.
