Fuel prices will remain the same in the latest review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).
There were fears that fuel prices would increase following a sharp rise in global crude prices.
The landing cost of super petrol has risen by 6.21pc, Diesel by 7.30pc and Kerosine by 9.81 pc.
“The average landed cost of imported Super Petrol increased by 6.21% from US$ 520.04 per cubic metre in June 2021 to US$ 552.35 per cubic metre in July 2021; Diesel increased by 7.36% from US$ 479.01 per cubic metre to US$ 514.25 per cubic metre while Kerosene increased by 9.81% from US$ 449.37 per cubic metre to US$ 493.45 per cubic metre” said Epra in a statement.
The maximum amount consumers will pay for a litre of super petrol in Nairobi will remain Kshs. 127.14, diesel Kshs. 107.66 and kerosene Sh97.85.
Consumers in Mombasa will continue to pay a maximum of Sh124.72 per litre of super petrol, Sh105.27 for diesel and Sh95.46 for kerosene.
In Kisumu, maximum pump price for a litre of super petrol, diesel and kerosene remain at Sh127.67, Sh08.46 and Sh98.68 respectively.
The prices will be in force from Sunday August 15, 2021 to September 14, 2021.
