Popular Kenyan YouTubers Over 25 have officially announced the end of their journey as a content creation group.
In an almost hour-long video titled the ‘Final Curtain Call’ released on Monday, the group comprised of Julia Gaitho aka Jules, Lorna Gatabaki aka Lornzie, Ivy Mugo, and Michelle Wanjiku aka Shikie explain why the group made the decision.
The decision was not an easy one for the group who came together years ago to share their life experiences as friends, women, and mothers with thousands of their audience.
According to the group, the group has changed both personally and professionally, thus re-evaluation was key.
“We now feel that it is time to take a step back and figure out who we are now seven years since we started this journey. In this time, we have had marriages, babies, career changes, break-ups, make-ups, graduations, birthdays, and even final goodbyes; as happens with many things in life, sometimes you need to pause and regroup.”
So is the group done for good? Over 25 posted, “We cannot say for sure. Will we be coming back? Possibly. Just not right now.”
The group went ahead to talk about the group from their own perspective and thanked their love and support all these years.
Over the last three years, all the ladies have made different strides in their careers and personally, Jules started her own podcast ‘So this is love’, Lornzie started a fashion business and gave birth to her first child. On the other hand, Ivy has become a household name with her ‘Money Mondays’ feature on Instagram. Shikie continues to be an inspiration with her beautiful family and fitness journey.
