It was a gin and tonic affair as Martha Karua celebrated her 65th birthday with Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday.
She met with Azimio leader Raila Odinga, his wife Mama Ida Odinga and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to celebrate as she turned a year older.
Others present were Azimio spokesperson Makau Mutua.
Dressed in an Ankara printed dress, Karua was fully glammed up for her day, complete with matching lipstick, a beaded necklace and earrings.
Videos circulating on social media show how the politicians jumped into the viral dance challenge associated with the hit, Jerusalema, showcasing their moves.
The event also had Ms Karua’s grandchildren who were seen dancing with their grandma.
“Tonight at the birthday party of my Deputy President @MarthaKarua and my President @RailaOdinga with my First Lady @IdaOdinga and Azimio’s @skmusyoka. Just beautiful!!” Mutua tweeted.
Earlier, Karua took to social media to thank God for the new year.
Raila also wished Karua many years of celebration.
“Happy Birthday Mate. To many more!”
The celebrations coming barely a month after the Supreme Court dismissed the presidential election petition filed by Raila and Martha challenging the election of President Dr William Ruto.
And while the two disagreed with the Supreme Court ruling, if the events of the birthday celebrations is anything to go by, the two seem to have moved on in their respective careers.
