The actor, well-known for his roles in popular shows such as Makutano Junction, Junction Junior, Second Family, and Salem, appeared to be in good spirits on the last day he was seen alive. There were no known ailments reported by those who knew him.
Charles was last spotted attending a party for the cast of Maisha Magic’s ‘Salem Show,’ seemingly enjoying the company of friends and colleagues. The news of his passing has left the entertainment industry in shock.
Fellow actor Jackie Matubia shared her profound grief on Instagram, posting videos of happier times spent with Charles just the day before his death. In these videos, they were seen laughing and enjoying each other’s company, unaware of the tragedy that would unfold.
Expressing disbelief and sorrow, Jackie reminisced about Charles’s vibrant spirit and zest for life, struggling to come to terms with the sudden departure of her friend.
“My heart is broken. Someone wake me up with a candle,” wrote Jackie in one of her posts.
With a heavy heart, Jackie conveyed her longing for Charles’s presence, hoping to wake up from this painful nightmare. Each post served as a poignant reminder of the depth of her loss and the void left by Charles’s untimely demise.
“Just yesterday you were so full of life, Charlie. I didn’t think I would be recapping this day like this. It’s so painful. I just want to sleep and wake up and find you have sent me 20 reels and call me J,” she expressed.
