Dubbed the longest running festival, the 28th edition of The Dubai Shopping festival was officially launched on the December 15, 2022 and is said to run up to the January 29, 2023.
This year, over 800 participating brands, 3500 Outlets have been offering 25 to 75 per cent reductions throughout the festival.
Over seven weeks, the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) has featured only shopping, winning, entertainment, and gastronomic experiences at citywide locations, including malls, high street shops, festival & community markets, and beachside destinations.
The festival has seen the world’s best New Year’s Eve celebrations, unique dining experiences, the best deals from home-grown and global brands, and live concerts by regional and international music Icons with performances across Dubai from regional and international superstars Rashid Al Majed, Waleed Al Shami, James Blunt, and a ‘Sawwah’’ hologram experience featuring Arab world singing legend Abdel Halim Hafez.
“This year, we invite everyone to celebrate with us and explore the diverse experiences across entertainment, gastronomy, shopping, leisure, and lifestyle that only Dubai can deliver.” CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, Ahmed Al Khaja, said.
“In collaboration with our valued partners and retailers, we have curated another DSF season of world-class experiences that create unforgettable memories for our residents and visitors.”
Dubai Shopping festival was launched with the objective of promoting local businesses however, over the past 28 years, it has grown into the most internationally acclaimed and has really helped to elevate Dubai’s profile as a global shopping and tourism destination.
DSF is one of the fulfillment of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum vision to make Dubai the best City in the world to, shop, visit, live, and work among others.
The festival showcases Dubai at its best in terms of culture, food, Entertainment and the world-class infrastructure it has to offer.
“Dubai is a place that you have to experience for yourself,” said Martin Lawrence during a vacation with his daughter.
“No amount of pictures, Videos or stories can describe the experience one gets from being here.”
Slotted in at the most festive period in the world, DSF has featured more than 320 concerts and events; 160 lighting shows; 430 performing arts and entertainment acts; two lighting exhibitions; one million street lights; and eight DSF community markets that included 220 homegrown stalls.
“Having had a success of the 27th edition of DSF, it also illustrates Dubai’s continued openness to welcome everyone in a safe environment thanks to the preventative measures rolled out by the authorities to ensure people’s health and safety at every touch point,” added Ahmed Al Khaja.
