The Flair by Betty beauty shop, owned by prominent media personality Betty Kyalo, is facing foreclosure due to outstanding rent payments.
According to a public notice published in various newspapers, Keysian Auctioneers announced that items within the premises will be auctioned off to settle pending rent arrears. The auction is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, as per the landlord’s claim.
Among the items listed for auction are several dismantled wall shelves, massage bed stands, massage beds, serving racks, glass shelves, large mirrors, towel warmers, dressing tables, a Binatone microwave, rolling seats, office tables, barber seats, sinks, CCTV cameras, a Huawei router, foot massagers, a Mac Coffee maker, a Hiluck video recorder, a single door fridge, and various other items.
The auction will be held at Leakey’s Storage Limited, located along Lunga-Lunga road in Nairobi. This development underscores the challenges faced by businesses, including those owned by public figures, in meeting their financial obligations during difficult times.
