Priscah Mwaro, the ex-wife of Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has died in Nairobi.
Her death was confirmed by her close relatives, who did not reveal further details.
Her body is said to have been moved to the MP Shah mortuary in Nairobi.
Priscah was married to Ababu for 8 years, and together they had three children.
Theirs was a union to be admired by many as they shared bright moments with their online followers, but as fate would have it, they unceremoniously parted ways in 2019.
The couple accused each other of infidelity, which they said was the main reason they separated.
Priscah’s brother, Patrick Mwaro, in an interview a while back said that efforts to reconcile the couple hit a snag as Ababu refused to take Priscah back.
“I have told him that he is part of our family since they have three children with Priscah, and in such cases, ties between families cannot be ignored, and it was up to him to decide whether he still wants to live with Prisca or not. You cannot force a man to live with a woman. If he has decided to call it quits with our daughter, so be it. I pleaded with him, but he was adamant and unforgiving,” Patrick was quoted as saying.
Until her death, Priscah was an employee of KenGen. She occasionally shared light moments on social media, letting her fans into her life.
