MultiChoice Kenya, has announced that SuperSport, Africa’s leading aggregator of sporting content will broadcast the Summer Olympic Games 2020, which will run from July 23 to August 8, in Tokyo, Japan.
DStv will feature eight dedicated channels with SuperSport Football Plus becoming Olympic Channel 1, while SuperSport Premier League, La Liga, Football, Variety 1, Variety 2, Variety 3 and Variety 4 become Olympic Channels 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 respectively.
While, GOtv will feature four dedicated channels for the Games, with SuperSport GOtv Football becoming Olympic Channel 1, while GOtv La Liga, GOtv Select 1 and GOtv Select 2 become Olympic Channels 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
Apart from the live coverage, there will be extensive highlights, reviews, previews, historical programming, athlete features and scene-setters with a particular focus on Africa’s participants.
SuperSport Blitz, the popular sport news channel, will carry breaking news and results and be the place to visit for your Olympic snapshots.

Philip Wahome MultiChoice Kenya revealed that they were in talks with The National Olympic Committee of Kenya to see how they can reward the Kenyan sports men and women who will win medals.
Olympic themed content will also be available on Catch-Up, while a focus on African athletes which will light up the games has already begun, with documentaries on Kenyan long-distance running star Eliud Kipchoge (who is favourite to defend his Gold Medal in the Men’s Marathon) among others.
Viewers on DStv and GOtv can see all their favourite Olympic Games stars at Tokyo 2020, with thousands of world-class athletes from around the world, including our great continent, set to entertain for over two weeks of the incredible action from the Games of the XXXII Olympiad.
