Last year amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) unveiled the 2nd phase of the “Dandia Bonus Na KaQuarter” National Consumer Promotion, which was aimed at rewarding consumers of the mainstream spirits category.
The promotion which ended last month had a range of participating brands including; Kenya Cane, Captain Morgan Gold, Chrome Vodka, Orijin, Kane Extra, V&A & Triple Ace.
In addition, KBL incorporated their recently launched innovations Chrome Gin, Mr. Dowells Whiskey and Red Star Vodka to the campaign.
Last week, Eric Kago Wairia, a Medical Lab Technician from Thika was unveiled as the Sh1 million winner of the promotion.
According to Wairia, he checked into his local bar in Gatundu North area to check out on his friends and as well as to enjoy his favourite drink.
He ordered a 250ml Captain Morgan Rum and entered the ‘Dandia Bonus na Kaquarter’ competition to try his chance and lucky he was.
He says from the proceeds of his winning, he looks forward to opening a business.
The promotion sought to reward consumers with a set of prizes including daily cash and airtime, weekly rewards of Sh20,000 and Sh50,000 and monthly awards of Sh200,000 and Sh500,000.
The grand prize was to see the lucky winner walk home with Sh1 million with a total of Sh25 million worth of prizes being issued during the drive.
“We are committed to continue offering brands with a strong value proposition as part of our efforts to expand our business,” said KBL head of spirits, Flavia Othim, during the award ceremony last Friday.
The ‘Dandia Na KaQuarter’ consumer promotion follows another successful KBL ‘Shangilia Hustle ya Kenya’ promotion by Kenya Cane where 20 lucky consumers won Sh100,000 worth of merchandise to support their hustle over a 12-week period.
Thereby affirming the company’s commitment to continue engaging and rewarding its customers.
