Gospel Singer Peter Omwaka, commonly known as Guardian Angel, and her long time lover Esther Musila on Tuesday wedded in a private ceremony.
The singer 33 and Musila 51, exchanged their vows in an exquisite ceremony at Bliss garden in Thome Estate.
Guardian Angel donned a crème suit while the bride wore a flowing gown of a similar colour.
Confirming the wedding, Guardian Angel took to his Instagram page, hours after the wedding photos emerged, and said it is official that they are a pair.
He also revealed that the wedding happened on the very day he was born.
“And on my birthday, God did it again. Mr and Mrs Omwaka,” Guardian Angel captioned an image of the two in their wedding attires.
On Saturday, January 1, the musician hinted at taking his nuptials in a post made on his social media page.
“Better one step in the right direction than a thousand steps in the wrong direction. You are one perfect step I made my love, thank God for the day I met you,” the musician said.
During Guardian’s ‘Victory’ album launch in November, his wife Musila spoke candidly about the gospel singer serenading him with sweet words and praise.
The mother of three (two sons and a daughter) says, her children sought inspiration from him and interact with him as friends and she is proud of them for that.
“My children are friends with Guardian. He is probably the father they desired to have even if they have their biological father,” she noted.
Esther, 51 made news after her engagement to the then 32-year-old Guardian on Tuesday, May, 25 sparking heated discussions among online users majorly because of their age gap.
Their love has grown over the years and continues to blossom, and the two have now become one of the most celebrated couples in town.
In a past interview, Musila stated very particularly that when she met the gospel artist, she was not looking for love or a relationship but a month into their ‘talking stage’ the love birds were already crazy in love.
“When I met Guardian, I was not looking for love, I was not looking to be in a relationship. How things started to change, I only say it’s God. When I was turning 50 last year I said to God, ‘I want to do things differently in my life and he has given me more than I asked for,” Musila noted.
