Police in Kitengela, Kajiado County, are investigating a tragic incident where a man allegedly stabbed his stepdaughter to death before taking his own life on Sunday night.
According to the police, the 16-year-old girl had gone to the man’s house to pick up a phone when he suddenly attacked her.
The 59-year-old man stabbed the secondary school girl multiple times with a kitchen knife before using the same weapon to end his own life.
A neighbor who heard the disturbance quickly alerted the police from the nearby Kitengela Police Station.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered two bodies lying in a pool of blood inside the bedroom of the two-room rented house.
In addition to the bodies, the police found a suicide note, two sharp knives, and a hammer at the scene.
The teenage girl had severe stab wounds on her back, abdomen, and left breast, along with multiple head injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp object.
