Police are currently investigating a tragic incident in the Kasarani area of Nairobi, where a 35-year-old man lost his life in a fatal stabbing during a confrontation over a woman.
The distressing event unfolded on Saturday in the Wonderland area, involving individuals who had recently left a local bar, according to police reports.
Witnesses recount that two men, accompanied by a woman familiar to them, had been socializing and drinking at the bar before leaving to head home. However, their journey took a devastating turn when they encountered another man, identified only as Fredrick, who is now deceased. It’s believed that the woman was romantically involved with the deceased individual.
Allegedly, the confrontation erupted when the deceased questioned the woman’s association with the other men. Matters quickly escalated, culminating in one of the men accompanying the woman producing a penknife from his jacket and fatally stabbing Fredrick in the neck before fleeing the scene with the woman.
Despite the victim’s valiant attempt to pursue the assailant, he tragically collapsed a few meters away, succumbing to his injuries, as recounted by witnesses to the police.
Law enforcement authorities swiftly responded to the scene, retrieving the victim’s body and transporting it to the mortuary pending further investigation and autopsy.
The search for the assailant remains ongoing, with police actively pursuing leads in the matter.
