In Kisii, a woman who had been working as an attendant at an MPESA shop has allegedly run away after stealing over KSh800,000 from her employer.
The suspect, identified as Mildred Moraa, failed to report to work three days ago and became unreachable via phone.
Upon investigation, the employer discovered that over KSh800,000 was missing from both Moraa’s MPESA float account and one bank account. Subsequently, a criminal report was filed at the Kisii Central Police Station, prompting a manhunt for the suspect.
According to the victim, Moraa had been employed at the MPESA shop for the past one year and nine months prior to the alleged incident.
