Two people died on the spot after a road accident along Kenol – Murang’a Road involving a lorry and a pickup on Thursday, December 29.
The accident occurred at 10 am in the morning after the two vehicles collided head-on after the pickup ferrying milk from Murang’a town attempted to overtake a matatu en route to Kenol.
The pick-up driver failed to overtake instead hitting the oncoming Lorry.
The driver of the lorry and his turn boy escaped unhurt but the two male occupants of the pickup died on the spot.
The deceased were taken to General Kago Morgue while as the motor vehicles were towed to Maragua Police Station.
The residents said there has been an increase of accidents in the same spot as king the government to intervene and mark the road.
