Radio host and award winning thespian Nick Ndeda on Thursday announced that he will be leaving Radio Africa after working for them for almost a decade.
The celebrated Media Personality has been on air entertaining masses on Kiss 100 for the last two years and prior to that he was rocking the airwaves at XFM for seven years.
The thespian and playwright through his Instagram page wrote that he will be leaving the Waiyaki way based Media station to go and pursue other interest.
The self-proclaimed ‘French Fries Whisperer’ thanked his company, his fans and everyone who has been with him through his radio journey.
“Issa wrap!! 7 years rocking with you on @1055XFM and jamming with you for another 2 on @Kiss100kenya Thanks for the memories!”
In an earlier interview with a local publication, explained how he managed to get to radio stating that if it wasn’t for his brother Jeremy Odhiambo, he wouldn’t be on the airwaves.
“He told me to accompany him for a radio audition at Homeboyz Radio and I had nothing to do. So after hours of queuing, it was his turn. So I left the line and the ushers were like ‘Where are you going? You stood up on the line for hours you might as well try.’ I did and just like that, I got it and he didn’t.”
He also worked for HBR three years, before he moved to Hot 96 were he said that he wanted another challenge and different genre of music.
“After that I had to go to South Africa for Jacob’s Cross. So when I came back I got a call from someone who told me that he hadn’t heard me on radio and had an opportunity for me. That is how I ended up at XFM. I have been doing X Breakfast for five years now.”
