Esteemed NTV journalist Rita Tinina has passed away. Her body was discovered at her home in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, on Sunday, March 17th, 2023.
Although expected at her workplace at NTV, where she was employed, Tinina did not appear. Concerned about her absence, NTV management visited her residence and found her deceased.
The cause of her death remains undisclosed, pending investigation by the authorities. Tinina’s family was present as the police arrived to transport her body to the mortuary for autopsy.
In October 2023, Tinina rejoined Nation Media Group’s (NMG) NTV, following her departure from Standard Group Limited.
Formerly a senior reporter at KTN, Tinina previously held the same role at NTV.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Tinina obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Nairobi (UoN)
Throughout her tenure at NTV, she rose to prominence as one of the top 10 best news anchorwomen in the country.
She was a mother of one girl.
