A presumed teenage girl linked to the murder of Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo has pleaded guilty to the offence.
Anne Adhiambo pleaded guilty thrice in three different instances saying “Ni Ukweli,” (It is true) as the court ordered for the charges to be reread for clarity during an appearance at the Milimani Law Courts on Thursday.
Judge Kaanyi Kimondo, who set a November 8 mention, said the suspect will have another opportunity to plead after consulting her lawyer.
“I give you more time so that you’re able to consult your lawyer who is present here in court so that they can explain to you the meaning of what you just told the court,” the judge said in translated remarks.

Adhiambo is said to have murdered her victim on September 15 at Nairobi’s Woodley Estate.
The 40-year-old victim was found lying in a pool of blood with 25 stab wounds.
Adhiambo was arrested following the emergence of CCTV footage in which she was seen jumping over a fence at the said estate in an apparent escape.
Until her appearance in court on Thursday, she had been held in police custody as detectives sought to analyze CCTV footage and blood samples collected from the crime scene.
The prosecution told the court the police needed more time to present findings.
