President William Ruto has appointed the director of the Internal Affairs Unit Mohamed Amin as the new Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
Amin will take over from George Kinoti who resigned last month. Ruto made the announcement through a gazette notice dated October 14.
He was among three names forwarded to Ruto after an intensive vetting by the National Police Service Commission which interviewed the 10 candidates shortlisted in a marathon event at the Kenya School of Government.
