Officers from the National Police Service (NPS) on Monday arrested six suspected thugs in Mathare 1 after flushing them out of their hideout.
NPS reported that the six, aged 20 to 26, possessed four knives, one stone, and eight rolls of marijuana.
They will remain in police custody awaiting arraignment.
Meanwhile, NPS has vowed to remain relentless in the protection of life and property as efforts to tame the increasing mugging incidences within the country are underway.
The latest lies on the backdrop of a series of arrests made in the past few weeks following an all-out war order on gangs from Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki.
CS Kindiki said the Government was aware of the public outcry following reported cases of insecurity and was determined to act decisively to rid Nairobi and other towns of criminal gangs.
GSU officers have also been deployed in different parts of the nation to tame the gangs.
