Four people were killed following an accident along Ngong Road in Nairobi on Sunday morning.
The accident occurred after a four-wheel-drive car heading towards Nairobi CBD from Karen hit a roadside wall before plunging into a railway track at Dagoretti Corner.
Reports indicate that two Canadian nationals are among the four people who lost their lives in the crash. The deceased include two men and two women.
Three other occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a city hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
A huge crowd of people gathered at the scene as a crane was retrieving the wrecked car from underneath.
The incident led to a huge traffic snarl-up on the busy road as officials tried to rescue those trapped in the car for hours.
Motorists blamed the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (Kura) for failing to install lights and place road signs between Junction Mall and Lenana.
