Detectives in Nairobi on Wednesday arrested two suspects who are wanted in the United Kingdom over murder.
The two, Mohamud Siyad Abdihakim (24) and Tariq Kennedy Mangal (21), were apprehended in Nairobi’s upmarket Kilimani area, where they have been hiding since sneaking into the country in 2019.
They were arrested by sleuths from the Transnational and Organized Crimes Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) following intelligence leads.
Abdihakim was smoked out of his hideout at AL-DAR apartments while his accomplice was picked from house number A803 in Mideya Gardens.
British authorities have been looking for the two fugitives to answer to murder charges following the brutal killing of a young man, who was stabbed and left for dead in the UK.
The suspects are currently being processed at DCI headquarters before being extradited to the UK to answer to their crimes.
