The continuous heavy rains across neighborhoods and streets nationwide have caused significant disruption at a crucial intersection in Nairobi’s CBD, leading to the interruption of transport services.
At the junction of Kenyatta Avenue and Moi Avenue, outside Nairobi Sports House and Imenti House, two tall trees were uprooted by the heavy downpour, blocking key entry and exit points.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning, with one tree falling onto Imenti House, affecting several businesses in the area.
Operations in the vicinity came to a standstill for much of the morning as pedestrians were redirected to alternative pathways.
Traffic police were present at the scene, guiding vehicles toward alternate routes.
