Comedian and skit maker Crazy Kennar, born Kennedy Odhiambo, is embarking on a new chapter in his career as he announces his relocation to South Africa to pursue film studies.
With aspirations to conquer the global comedy market, Kennar shared the news on his social media platforms, highlighting his commitment to both Kenya and South Africa.
In a post accompanied by photos taken outside the Atlas Studios premises in South Africa, Kennar expressed his gratitude and excitement for this new journey. He wrote, “Blessed Man! A new level of entertainment unlocked, journey with me as I share my life with you as a Local Genius Kenyan creator studying in South Africa, living in Kenya and in South Africa while creating content across the world. This move follows Kennar’s recent interactions in South Africa, where he met legendary comedian Trevor Noah and was appointed as a Visit South Africa ambassador. Despite his international endeavors, Kennar remains rooted in his home country, Kenya.
The decision to relocate comes shortly after Kennar hosted his successful live show, “Happy Country,” at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC). Despite facing personal tragedy with the loss of his infant son just days before the show, Kennar delivered a memorable performance, showcasing resilience and dedication to his craft.
Additionally, Kennar has revamped his Content comedy group, introducing new members after parting ways with the original team. This strategic move reflects his ongoing commitment to innovation and growth in the comedy industry.
