After much anticipation, Oppo in September officially launched the successor to the Oppo Reno8T series in the Kenyan market.
The new line, known as the Oppo Reno 10 series, was unveiled in a spectacular event held in Nairobi on Tuesday night. This series introduces two exceptional devices: the Oppo Reno10 5G and the Oppo Reno10 5G Pro.
The Oppo Reno10 5G features a premium design with a glass front and back, and a plastic frame.
It has a slim profile, measuring 162.4 x 74.2 x 8 mm, which makes it comfortable to hold. The device sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels.
The screen offers vibrant colors and excellent contrast, thanks to its 1B color support and HDR10+ capability. With a 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling and animations are smooth, providing an immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Reno10 5G is powered by the Mediatek MT6877V Dimensity 7050 chipset, built on a 6nm process. The octa-core processor comprises two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. This configuration ensures smooth multitasking and efficient power consumption. The Mali-G68 MC4 GPU handles graphics-intensive tasks and gaming with ease, delivering impressive visuals.
Memory and Storage:
The device offers two variants: one with 128GB of internal storage and another with 256GB. Both models come with 8GB of RAM, providing ample space for storing apps, media files, and documents. The UFS 2.2 storage technology ensures fast data transfer speeds, allowing for quick access to files and smooth app performance.
The OPPO Reno10 5G boasts a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 64 MP wide-angle lens, a 32 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. This versatile camera system captures detailed and vibrant photos in various shooting scenarios. The device also features LED flash, HDR, and panorama mode to enhance the photography experience. On the front, there is a 32 MP selfie camera that captures sharp and detailed self-portraits.
Battery and Charging:
With a 5000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, the Reno10 5G offers excellent battery life, ensuring that you can comfortably use your device throughout the day. It supports 67W wired charging and PD3, allowing for rapid charging speeds. Additionally, the device supports reverse wired charging, which means you can use it to charge other compatible devices.
Overall, the Oppo Reno 10 5G is opulent and feels good to hold and floss with where you need to make a statement, added to a large battery, fast charging and exceptional display.
The device is selling at Sh56,999 and is also playing a key role by phone aficionados, chiefly content creators and those keen on making fashion statements.
