Showmax’s Reality TV series “The Real Housewives of Nairobi” is gearing up for its second season, set to premiere next month.
The upcoming season brings a shake-up in the cast lineup, with several members from season 1 not returning. In a newly teased poster, only three familiar faces are visible, while the others remain concealed. Among those confirmed to be returning for season 2 are Minnie Kaiuki, Vera Sidika, and Catherine Masitsa.
Notably absent from the lineup are Susan Kaittany, Lisa Christoffersen, and Sonal Maherali, who will not be making a comeback for the upcoming season. Susan Kaittany, in particular, has addressed her departure, citing personal reasons for her decision.
The Posh Palace boss has explained that she opted to step back from “RHON” season two to prioritize her roles as a mother, mentor, mental health advocate, and entrepreneur.
”I was offered a contract for filming of the second season by the producers, and I took my time to think about it, reflect & together with my family, concluded that my role as a mother, mentor, mental health advocate and entrepreneur come first, and so I turned it down”
Susan also has plans to further her education with the aim of earning a master’s degree in psychology,; which led her to reevaluate her priorities and ultimately decline the filming contract for the new season.
”Going back to school for my masters in psychology meant that I had to re- analyze my priorities & I’ve chosen to step back and refocus my energy on the things that matter most to me, are dear to me and close to my heart.”
”Thank you for your support always, for the opportunity to grace your screens, for the love, the fashion moments and for cheering me on every step of my journey. It’s goodbye for now, but you know me.. I have so many other beautiful things going on ❤️❤️ 2024 is that year for me.”
